Is it Time to Schedule AC Maintenance?

It’s officially springtime, and temperatures are warming up. We already use our air conditioners for 9 to 10 months out of the year here in Southern California. But as temperatures heat up, demand for our air conditioners will increase.

If you haven’t already scheduled air conditioning service in Santa Monica for your unit, now is a great time to do so. Our team can look over your air conditioner and ensure it is ready to face the heat of the summer. You can keep reading to learn more about how to know if now is the time to schedule AC maintenance and also review the benefits of this valuable service.

When Was the Last Time You Scheduled AC Maintenance?

This is the first question you want to ask when you consider whether or not it’s time to schedule the service. We encourage you to schedule AC maintenance annually. The timing of the service appointment is less important than just scheduling it and getting it done. We have some homeowners who prefer to schedule AC maintenance now at the beginning of the spring season and ahead of summer.

We have other customers who prefer to wait until the end of the season and schedule maintenance before they switch over to heating in the fall and winter. So, if you haven’t scheduled AC maintenance in the past year, now is a great time to do so. However, if you usually schedule your service at the end of the summer season, it’s perfectly OK to go ahead and wait to schedule the service when you usually do.

If you’ve been skipping on an AC maintenance for a while, and can’t remember when you last scheduled the service, go ahead and do it now. It’s never too late to schedule maintenance unless your air conditioner has broken down completely. Even then, you can schedule an AC repair appointment with our team to figure out what’s wrong and get your air conditioner up and running again.

Sign of Problems

Now is also a great time to schedule AC maintenance if you’re noticing signs that something might be wrong with your air conditioner. Even if you scheduled AC maintenance at the end of last season, addressing potential repair needs is important. You should not put off service for your next round of maintenance if you suspect that something is wrong.

Allowing a repair need to go unaddressed could lead to larger problems and you might be stuck with a broken AC in the middle of the summer. Go ahead and call us now and talk to us about what your concerns are. We may be able to recommend some homeowner maintenance steps that you can complete to see if they help. Or we can schedule service and go ahead and come out to check on your air conditioner and fix anything that we find may be going wrong.

JMS Air Conditioning and Heating has your back. Call us today to schedule an appointment for AC maintenance in Glendale, CA.
